Our first experience with kombucha wasn’t a bad one. We just found the store bought stuff to be too sweet. I hunted around and found out how to make it. I was also fortunate enough to have been given scoby so I didn’t have to make that.
Now we make our own kombucha. I almost always have a jar fermenting on the counter. I make a blend of black and green tea. I’m not a huge fan of green tea but I’ve been slowly decreasing the black tea and increasing the green thereby getting the benefits of green tea without having to drink JUST green tea. I really like the versatility of making my own but more importantly, I like reaping the benefits of this fermented food.
